Dan brings more than a decade of senior finance and operating experience, including multiple CFO roles. He has led companies through growth, funding, and the operational pressure that follows. He has also owned and operated businesses himself, carrying direct responsibility for cash, margin, payroll, hiring, and performance.
His strength is speed and depth of understanding. He can enter a business, break it down quickly, and see how the system truly works, how money moves, where work slows, and where leadership becomes the bottleneck.
Dan does not separate strategy from execution. If a growth plan does not hold up in the numbers or in the day-to-day reality of the team, it does not survive. That ownership experience shapes how he works: direct, practical, and focused on what actually improves performance.
Through Hilldash, he helps leadership teams build companies that operate with structure, financial discipline, and less dependence on one person holding everything together.
